Meetings, We’ve Had Meetings . . . Stacks and Stacks of Meetings

Taking a chance here on how many readers remember the Perry Como show and its requests segment. I figure there’s me, the author, and about 4 of you readers. Maybe the mature readers can explain this reference to the younger ones? Or, maybe we won’t take the time. Moving on.

Monday was one long meeting. Interesting and engaging, but let’s just say it was “extended”. We met at our usual spot, the salon (like a parish hall) at the Diocesan Office. We had a quorum, so we moved through our agenda and tackled some tough financial topics. I reported on my activities as consultant to the Diocesan School Board. At the end of the meeting, there were plenty of motions and seconds to adjourn the meeting. Still, we left the room feeling that a lot had been accomplished.

Here’s a collection of photos of the group in action, taken from different angles by multiple photographers.

Back to the hotel and then a Comida Despidida (or farewell dinner) for the group to share impressions and a terrific meal. Everyone involved in the meeting was invited, including Bishop Quezada and his wife, Jeanette, our Mission Team Coordinator, Ned Paulino, and Miquea Santivil, our past coordinator.

Back to the hotel for a good night’s rest and reflection our very busy and productive 5 days together.

Transition day Tuesday as I shifted from hotel to the apartment at the Seminary. School visits Wednesday. !Hasta Pronto!
